CrossCountry is assessing whether it would be possible to operate a small number of additional trains during 2024 to deliver additional capacity, subject to their availability, the contractual terms with the rolling stock owner and an appropriate business case. However, we recognise that the increase in short-term letting has also prompted some concerns. These include the impact on the housing market and local communities particularly from those living in our most popular tourist destinations. <br> <br> The Government committed in the Tourism Recovery Plan, published in June last year, to consult on a possible Short Term Accommodation Registration Scheme in England. A call for evidence as the first stage of that consultation process was published on 29 June and runs until 21 September. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/08/2021 answer text <p>No assessment has been made specifically of any effects of the lorry driver shortage on the delivery of goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, though the Government agrees with industry assessments that there is a significant acute shortage of lorry drivers on top of a longer-term structural shortage. That is why on 20 July, the Department for Transport, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs jointly announced a suite of measures to support the industry in addressing the driver shortage. These measures will be focused on increasing the recruitment, retention and throughput of domestic drivers. More information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-announces-package-of-measures-to-support-road-haulage-industry.</p><p><strong><br></strong>On 21 July, the Government published a Command Paper (Northern Ireland Protocol: the way forward, CP502) outlining how the Northern Ireland Protocol is not working in its current form or delivering on its objectives. We are seeking to negotiate significant changes to the Northern Ireland Protocol to achieve a new balance that puts the UK-EU relationship on a stable footing. We continue to receive public safety information from the EMA and have firm links with the World Health Organization and other key international public health organisations working on this issue. The Government has set out its negotiation approach with the European Union, which includes commitments for cooperation and information sharing to enable regulators to act promptly to safeguard patient safety and public health.</p><p>The UK is a world leader in preparing for and managing public health incidents and on 3 March the Government published its action plan to tackle the spread of coronavirus. It will ensure that young people hear more about the alternatives to academic and school-based routes and are aware of all the opportunities to higher skills that offer access into the workplace.</p><p>The Secretary of State has confirmed that we will publish a careers strategy shortly. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/09/2016 answer text <p>Patients have a legal right, set out in the NHS Constitution, to start consultant-led treatment within a maximum of 18 weeks from referral for non-urgent conditions. The NHS Constitution for England is attached, as is the Handbook to the Constitution, which provides a further level of detail regarding the rights and pledges. Performance is measured against an operational standard that 92% of patients who have not yet started treatment should have been waiting less than 18 weeks from referral at the end of each month. These referral to treatment waiting times are collected for 18 treatment functions (e.g. trauma and orthopaedics), but not for individual conditions or procedures. Friend the Member for Witney (Mr Cameron), set out in an oral statement to Parliament on 26 September, Official Report, column 1255, the UK will tackle the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) using all the resources at our disposal. These include humanitarian efforts, which Britain is already leading, aimed at helping those displaced by ISIL’s onslaught, and diplomatic efforts to engage the widest possible coalition of countries. There is now a coalition of over forty countries including a number of Arab countries.
