answer text <p>In February, the department announced £200 million funding alongside the ‘Stable Homes, Built on Love’ strategy, which is being used to address urgent issues over this Spending Review period and set the path for longer-term reform. As these plans have been implemented, there have been a number of changes to the balance of funding across reform programme areas including increases to the fostering pathfinder. The total £200 million announced in February 2023 will be directed to reform activity as detailed in ‘Stable Homes, Built on Love’.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Contracts for delivery of Education, Training &amp; Employment, Accommodation, Personal Wellbeing, and Women’s services have been awarded in Wales and in 10 out of 11 probation regions through four waves of procurement activity over the last 9 months.</p><p>This initial range of services has been commissioned nationally. After probation services are unified on 26 June 2021, commissioning responsibility will move to a regional level and Regional Probation Directors will decide how and when they wish to commission Dependency &amp; Recovery and Finance, Benefit &amp; Debt services.</p><p>In Greater Manchester, we are jointly commissioning with the Combined Authority, and the suite of contracts will be awarded in the coming weeks.</p> more like this

answer text <p>HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have introduced changes to the way they work.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>They have invested in a new telephone system which has enabled staff from other parts of the department to answer telephone calls at busy times. They have also increasing the number of customers' queries that are answered during the first phone call.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>HMRC are developing their existing online services.
