answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2023 answer text <p>The Home Office has a statutory obligation to provide accommodation and other support to asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute while their application for asylum is being considered.</p><p> </p><p>The significant increase in dangerous journeys across the Channel is placing unprecedented strain on our asylum system and it has made it necessary to continue to use hotels to accommodate some asylum seekers. The use of hotels is a short-term solution, and we are working hard with local authorities to find appropriate accommodation.</p><p> </p><p>We attend a number of forums discussing the sourcing of accommodation for asylum seekers in Northern Ireland, one of which is the Strategic Partnership Group. This is a monthly meeting at which the strategic direction of asylum and wider refugee schemes are discussed. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/02/2022 answer text <p>Ministers engage regularly with Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman, on a range of matters, including inspection arrangements in the changing context of the COVID-19 outbreak.</p><p>Ofsted inspection continues to play an important role in providing independent assurance as providers respond to COVID-19. It is right that the arrangements are kept under review, and adjustments made where appropriate.</p><p>Ofsted has updated its inspection handbooks and adjusted its inspection approach to take account of the challenges raised by COVID-19. From the start of the calendar year to 31 January, Ofsted temporarily halted use of part time inspectors who are also frontline leaders so they could focus on their leadership responsibilities.</p><p>Additionally, schools facing acute disruption, including due to significant staff absence, can request a deferral of the inspection. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/12/2017 answer text <p>We continue to press manufacturers to rectify failings where vehicles on the road, even some of the newest models, show harmful emissions levels significantly greater than the laboratory test limits. Some manufacturers have committed to offering voluntary software changes to EU5 and EU6 vehicles to improve their real world performance and we are encouraging other manufacturers to do the same.</p><p> </p><p>In the Autumn Budget, Government announced supplements to Vehicle Excise Duty and Company Car Tax for new diesel cars not certified to step 2 of Real Driving Emissions (RDE2) standards – also known as Euro-6d.
