answer text <p>No direct employees of the Government Legal Department (GLD) are paid less than the living wage. However, at 22 June 2015 GLD had four temporary workers in London receiving less than the living wage although this position will change after 12 weeks of engagement in line with the Agency Workers legislation. At that point, their salary will increase to a higher rate of pay comparable to the rate of a direct employee. All other temporary workers are paid more than the living wage.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>No direct employees or temporary workers employed by the remaining Law Officers' Departments are paid less than the living wage.</p><p> </p><p>A complete record on the pay arrangements for staff employed by companies contracted to provide services to the Law Officers' Departments is not held and could not be provided without incurring a disproportionate cost.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Over £14 million has been invested over the last two financial years to support the cost of activities aimed at increasing the levels of voter registration, including in the run up to the General Election.</p><p>The Electoral Commission (EC) published on 18 June an analysis of the electoral registers used for the elections on 7 May. It showed that the numbers of entries on these registers had increased by 1% compared with the last ones published prior to the introduction of Individual Electoral Registration. The Government will keep under review its approach to electoral registration in light of the EC’s report and its findings.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Responsibility for information technology infrastructure in the UK financial sector is primarily for the firms themselves. However, the Financial Authorities have a role to play in supervising, coordinating and driving change to improve the operational resilience of the sector.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) jointly launched, in October 2014, a review of firms’ critical infrastructure and technology resilience. The review focuses on the most significant UK retail deposit-taking organisations and is expected to conclude later this summer. answer text <p>My Department and its subsidiary agencies, with one exception, have no direct employees or agency staff earning less than the living wage.</p><p> </p><p>One of our non-departmental public bodies, the Homes and Communities Agency, has 13 outsourced staff paid less than the living wage, all based outside London.</p><p> </p><p>70 support staff employed by Interserve (who provides facilities management services to the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department for Education) are paid less than the living wage.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is working with Interserve to see if contract efficiencies can be secured to help them voluntarily pay the living wage to all staff working on the Department’s facilities management contract.</p><p> </p><p>The Department maintains a position that the level of employee payment is for our external contractors to determine, while encouraging payment of a living wage.</p> more like this
