answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2022 answer text <p>The UK continues to be deeply concerned over the high levels of global acute child malnutrition, with over 60 million children expected to experience wasting in 2022. As highlighted in the recent UNICEF Child Alert, the UK has been at the forefront of tackling this devastating condition which not only takes lives but also leaves children with lifelong disabilities. The UK has historically been the largest funder for treatment of child wasting, providing roughly one quarter of all financing for wasting. In September 2020 the FCDO launched a 5-year partnership with UNICEF to drive improvements to the prevention and treatment of child wasting.</p><p>Levels of acute malnutrition in Afghanistan are particularly concerning, with 1.1 million children expected to require life-saving treatment for severe wasting this year. In response the UK has pledged a further £286 million for Afghanistan, the majority of which will go towards life-saving humanitarian assistance. A priority focus is emergency food assistance and nutrition services through key partners, including UNICEF and the World Food Programme. I met with female employees from Vodafone in May to hear about which initiatives have worked to support them, especially through the pandemic, and what challenges remain.</p><p>The Government recognises the vital role unpaid carers and parents play and has put a range of measures in place to help. In our manifesto we committed to extending the entitlement to leave for unpaid carers to one week. The Government has also funded 25 ‘returner programmes’ to support those with caring responsibilities back to work.</p><p>As we look to Build Back Better, increasing the take up of remote and flexible working will give more freedom and opportunity to people with caring responsibilities. In April the Government reconvened the Flexible Working Taskforce, tasking them to help employers build on the lessons we have learned through the pandemic to embed more flexible ways of working.</p><p>Strong digital connectivity is crucial in supporting more flexible working. This Government’s delivery of national gigabit connectivity means that today, over two in five premises can access gigabit-capable networks, up from just one in ten in November 2019. By the end of the year, 60% will have access, and by 2025 the Government is targeting a minimum of 85% gigabit-capable coverage. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/06/2016 answer text <p>Green belts are created and protected by local authorities in line with national policy set out in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). A Green Belt boundary can only be altered where there are exceptional circumstances and only by means of the Local Plan process of public consultation and independent examination.</p><p>We do not define exceptional circumstances as these can vary from instance to instance. The purpose of the initial health assessment is to identify any immediate and significant mental or physical health needs, the presence of a communicable disease and whether the individual may have been the victim of torture.</p><p>The individual will be referred straight away to a GP if the nurse feels an issue has been identified which requires immediate attention.
