answer text <p>As outlined in the 2021 Integrated Review and accompanying Command paper, the Government is investing in a number of seabed warfare capabilities. This includes the Multi-Role Ocean Surveillance (MROS) programme, Mine Hunting Capability (MHC) and Deep-Water Military Data Gathering will enhance our ability to detect, understand, attribute and act against those who pose a threat to our interests and allow us to maintain maritime situational awareness.</p><p>These investments in underwater warfare capabilities will support the protection of our critical national infrastructure, the safeguarding of maritime trade and maintenance of our underwater advantage, increasing our ability to protect and assure underwater critical national infrastructure and to detect threats in the North Atlantic.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Bus Services Act 2017 <del class="ministerial">permits combined</del> <ins class="ministerial">provides</ins> mayoral <ins class="ministerial">combined</ins> authorities <ins class="ministerial">with access to </ins><del class="ministerial"> to apply for</del> new franchising powers. Other authorities can also apply for franchising powers with approval from the Secretary of State, subject to the necessary regulations having been made under the new section 123A(4) of Part 2 of the Transport Act 2000. No such regulations have yet been made.</p><p>The Government wants to see better local bus services for passengers across the country and will assist any local authority seeking to use the powers available to them under the Bus Services Act 2017 to secure improvements. We would also encourage authorities to work closely with local bus operators and passenger representatives to determine how to use the Act’s new powers to serve their local communities better.</p> more like this

answer text <p>DFID funds a number of projects which support deaf people, including through Sense International and the Disability Rights Fund, which supports Deaf People’s Organisations in a number of countries including Rwanda and Uganda. DFID advocates for the use of the Washington Group Questions as a method of disaggregating data by disability. The questions can give policy makers a better understanding of the number and situation of deaf people as well as those with other impairments. DFID is implementing its disability framework, published in December 2014. The framework sets out how DFID will make its policies and programmes more inclusive of all people with disabilities.</p> more like this
