In the context of the growing pressure on NI budgets it is right that UK Government should consider its approach to funding available for NI in the round. £30 million has been reserved for Northern Ireland from LUF 3. Defence works with partners across government to ensure that the UK continues to protect its citizens from terrorism within its borders and overseas.</p><p>The Home Office are the lead department for domestic terrorist threats. Should their assessment be that the risk from a particular terrorist methodology such as rockets has increased, consideration will be given to what additional policies, if any, are required to mitigate them. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/02/2020 answer text <p>The new subjects of relationships education (for primary age pupils), relationships and sex education (for secondary age pupils) and health education (for all pupils in state-funded schools) will become compulsory in September 2020. Many schools are already teaching aspects of these subjects as part of their sex and relationship education provision or personal, social, health and economic education programme. Schools have flexibility to determine how to deliver the new content in the context of a broad and balanced curriculum.</p><p>The department is committed to supporting teachers to teach the new subjects with confidence, and to a high quality which is why we are developing a central programme of support for schools for these subjects, which will be available to all teachers from spring 2020.</p><p>Our programme of support will offer opportunities for teachers to improve subject knowledge, build confidence and access classroom resources. We will ensure that all of the department’s materials supporting implementation of the new subjects are inclusive, and recognise fully the need to disseminate the good practice in teaching about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender relationships that is seen in large numbers of our schools as well as the importance of reflecting the needs of pupils with a special educational need or disability when planning the curriculum for these subjects. Our budget this year of up to £6 million for implementing the new subjects will ensure that this support for teachers will be accessed through a new online service and will include an implementation guide. This will accompany the statutory guidance, case studies from other schools, access to quality assured resources and innovative materials to support staff training.</p><p>Training for teachers will also be available through existing regional networks, and we are working with expert organisations, schools and teachers to develop this package. The department is also working with ‘early adopter schools’, some of whom have chosen to start teaching some or all of the new content early, in order to support their journey, learn lessons and share good practice. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2019 answer text <p>The Government is committed to create a policy and regulatory environment which will ensure the most efficient use of radio spectrum (or airwaves), including setting the right conditions for the development and deployment of 5G networks while protecting important satellite services and applications.</p><p> </p><p>Government departments and agencies have been actively involved in the work of international telecoms groups, ITU (International Telecommunications Union) and CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations), to study the necessary technical conditions for 5G, to ensure that they meet internationally agreed protection criteria for satellite communication and scientific satellites, including Copernicus.</p><p> </p><p>These technical conditions must balance the needs of the 5G industry and the science community. Such conditions have already been agreed within Europe. That answer is included below for your ease of reference and I have nothing further to add to this.</p><p><em>As Leader of the House, I regularly stress to departments the importance of giving full and timely answers to Questions for Written Answer. The content of each answer is a matter for the Minister concerned, and each Minister is responsible to the House for the answers they provide. That direct accountability is important: that is why Ministers in this House must provide personally signed answers to members.</em></p><p><em>The Ministerial Code says that “It is of paramount importance that Ministers give accurate and truthful information to Parliament”. It also makes clear that “Ministers should be as open as possible with Parliament and the public, refusing to provide information only when disclosure would not be in the public interest”. In addition, there is a longstanding rule of this House that all answers should be complete and comprehensible. The contribution of police horses remains important and the Home Office corresponds with the relevant national policing lead on an ad-hoc basis to stay apprised of their views. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2014 answer text <p>As a leading member of NATO, the UK continues to play a central role in NATO reaffirming our constant commitment to collective defence and to reassure our Eastern Allies following the recent events in Ukraine.<br><br>The four RAF Typhoon aircraft deployed to Lithuania in support of NATO's peacetime Baltic Air Policing mission are expected to return at the end of August and the E3D Sentry flights in Polish airspace will continue until at least the end of the year.<br><br>There are at present no plans to extend this commitment further, as future mission rotations are filled by Allies for the foreseeable future.
