answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2022 answer text <p>The Government does not currently have any intention to pursue a legislative approach that would force private lenders to participate in debt relief initiatives.</p><p> </p><p>Any legislative approach would need to address a number of challenges. For example, legislating may increase the cost of finance for low-income countries or reduce the availability of finance to meet wider development goals.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is instead prioritising the implementation of the Common Framework for Debt Treatments beyond the DSSI. The UK, along with the G20 and Paris Club, agreed the Common Framework to deliver a long-term, sustainable approach to dealing with debt vulnerabilities. Private sector participation on at least as favourable terms as bilateral creditors is a fundamental principle of the Common Framework. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/09/2017 answer text <p>Departmental officials will continue to work with colleagues in the devolved administrations, sharing our thinking and progress to ensure children across the United Kingdom can have the best start in life.</p><p> </p><p>Current advertising restrictions in the UK on high fat, salt or sugar (HFSS) products are among the toughest in the world. Strict new rules came into effect on 1 July banning the advertising of HFSS food or drink products in children’s media. These restrictions apply across all non-broadcast media including in print, cinema, online and in social media.</p><p> </p><p>In August we announced £5 million investment in a policy research unit on childhood obesity to provide a robust evidence, evaluation and research capability including looking at the impact of marketing on childhood obesity. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/09/2015 answer text <p>As part of our support to the Government of Iraq, the UK is working closely with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to combat ISIL.</p><p>The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the Member for Runnymede and Weybridge (Mr Hammond) spoke to the KRG Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, in April. The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, my right hon. Friend the Member for West Dorset (Oliver Letwin), visited Erbil from 30-31 August, where he met KRG President, Masoud Barzani.</p><p>We are in regular contact with officials of the KRG in this regard and discuss our strategy via a variety of diplomatic, military and humanitarian channels.</p><p>The Government has a robust strategy for defeating ISIL and is playing a key role in the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL in Iraq: we are taking military action, supporting inclusive and credible governance, discrediting ISIL’s poisonous ideology, cutting off its finances, tackling foreign terrorist fighters and helping its victims rebuild their lives, including those affected by sexual violence.</p> answering member constituency Bournemouth East answering member printed Mr Tobias Ellwood question first answered 18/09/2015 10:57:08 answering member 1487 label Biography information for Mr Tobias Ellwood
