We are currently gathering evidence to inform the development of the plan, including research being undertaken by the English HIV and Sexual Health Commissioners’ Group to understand why some groups who would benefit from PrEP do not access it. It will also be informed by a pilot scheme for accessing PrEP in prisons, data collected by the UK Health Security Agency and the evaluation of community pharmacy provision of PrEP services by the Sexual and Reproductive Health Innovation Fund.
more like this

answer text
As of the 6th May 2021, over 108,000 jobs have been made available for young people to apply for through the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) Kickstart Scheme. This includes over 20,000 jobs started by young people.

There have been over 200,000 jobs approved by the scheme.

We are unable at present to provide data on the number of approved jobs by region, as at that stage in the process we do not hold information about the exact location of a job, only the head office of the employer. We do hold regional information on jobs made available for young people to apply for and for placements started, which is provided below.

The tables below show these figures split by location and sector, the data presented has been rounded according to DWP statistical rounding convention. Although care is taken when processing and analysing Kickstart applications, referrals and starts, the data collected might be subject to the inaccuracies inherent in any large-scale recording system which has been developed quickly. The management information presented here has not been subjected to the usual standard of quality assurance associated with official statistics, but is provided in the interests of transparency. answer text
Both the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman’s and Dr Bill Kirkup’s reports following Morecambe Bay were critical of the Local Supervising Authority system provided for in legislation for midwives.

The Nursing and Midwifery (Amendment) Order 2017 separated the function of midwifery supervision, which is the responsibility of the employer, from regulatory activity, which is the responsibility of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. This brought the regulation of midwives into line with the arrangements for other regulated professions and means that supervisors are no longer involved in regulatory investigations and sanctions.

Subsequently, a new non-statutory model of supervision for midwives has been developed and rolled out in each of the four countries of the United Kingdom with NHS England leading this work in England. The new model focuses on the professional and developmental aspects of the role.

more like this

Some antidepressant drugs can be used for a variety of clinical indications and therefore the figures provided may include items which may have been prescribed for a different condition. The list of antidepressants which have been identified for this response are those listed within British National Formulary (BNF) chapter 4 section 3 (Antidepressant Drugs).

The NHS Business Services Authority only holds data relating to patient ages from April 2015.
