answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/10/2023 answer text <p>The National Space Council was first formed as a Cabinet Committee in June 2020 to oversee Government policy on Space. Since 2023, it has operated as an inter-ministerial group, tasked with considering all issues relating to prosperity, diplomacy and national security in, through and from Space, as part of coordinating overall Government policy.</p><p> </p><p>It is a long-established precedent that information about the discussions that have taken place in Cabinet and its Committees and how often they have met, is not normally shared publicly and we therefore will not comment on the National Space Council prior to 2023.</p><p> </p><p>We can confirm that the inaugural meeting of the National Space Council as an inter-ministerial group took place on 19 July 2023. This includes a self-assessment tool for National Health Service trusts and foundation trusts to review risks for non-clinical consumables, goods and services. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/07/2014 answer text <p>The Department has not had any recent discussions with providers of residential care for people with physical impairments and learning difficulties on proposals for home closure.</p><p> </p><p>The new Care Act, which will come into force in 2015, will give local authorities a core duty to promote their local market, with a particular focus on ensuring diversity, quality and sustainability which, importantly, will mean there should be sufficient high quality services available to meet the needs of individuals in their local area.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has worked with stakeholders, including provider organisations, to develop draft statutory guidance to support the implementation of the Care Act. The guidance will describe how local authorities must meet these new duties, including encouraging sustainability through appropriate fee levels. The draft guidance was published as part of a 10 week public consultation on the full package of regulations and guidance under part 1 of the Care Act on 6 June.</p><p> </p><p>The Government believes that people who wish and who are able to live in their communities, rather than in an institutional care setting, should be given the support they need to do so.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency North Norfolk answering member printed Norman Lamb question first answered 02/07/2014 15:17:29 answering member 1439 label Biography information for Norman Lamb
