answer text <p>The UK Government regularly discusses defence and security issues with our NATO Allies and European partners, but has not had any discussions on the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) European Patrol Corvette project.</p><p>The UK has applied to join the PESCO Military Mobility project. We continue to monitor other PESCO projects as they develop, but have no intention to apply to join any of them at this time.</p> more like this

answer text <p>DCMS monitors and reviews its grants in line with best practice. Before competing the grant for 2021/22, my department reviewed the previous UK Youth Parliament programme grants to estimate the grant recipient’s running costs for the 2021/22 programme using high level indicative budget headings.</p><p><br>By competing the grant for 2021/22, DCMS invited applicants to demonstrate how they would deliver the programme using the funding available, and were invited to demonstrate how they would secure external funding and partnerships to supplement the DCMS grant, as in previous years.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We agree that it is important for Police and Crime Commissioners to have financial certainty, which is why we set out in the last police funding settlement the basis upon which we expected to provide funding in 2019/20.</p><p>However, it is equally important to review the policing landscape and conditions regularly to ensure that funding provided recognises the changing demands on policing.</p><p>As the Chancellor stated in his budget speech, in addition to extra funding for counter-terrorism, the Home Office will review police spending power and reform ahead of the 2019/20 police funding settlement.</p><p>The Home Secretary has been clear that he will prioritise funding for the police at the next Spending Review.</p> more like this
