<p>Wherever possible, the Department will lay Independent Chief Inspector of Borders
and Immigration (ICIBI) reports before Parliament within 8 weeks of receipt, or as
soon as possible thereafter.</p><p>It is important that the Department and Ministers
give full consideration to the serious recommendations made in ICIBI reports. In some
circumstances, this will take longer than 8 weeks due to the complexity or importance
of the recommendations.</p><p>In order to provide full transparency, reports will
only be laid in Parliament when both Houses are sitting. This will sometimes necessitate
a longer timeframe between submission of the report and publication.</p>
