answer text <p>The United States is the UK’s largest single country trading partner, and we are exploring multiple avenues to strengthen trade ties across the country.</p><p>Alabama imported £411 million of goods from the UK, and exported £312 million of goods to the UK, in 2023. Alabama’s single largest category of goods imports from the UK in 2023 was aircraft, spacecraft, and parts thereof, valuing £130.5 million.</p><p>We therefore welcome the participation of a delegation from Alabama in the recent Farnborough International Airshow, encouraging the growth of commercial ties between the UK and Alabama in the aerospace sector.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In June the Prime Minister and the President of the United States announced the Atlantic Declaration and accompanying Action Plan to cover the full spectrum of our economic, technological, commercial and trade relations, and to explore further ways to expand our bilateral trade.</p><p> </p><p>Negotiations remain at an early stage and it is not clear what form agreement will take but we remain committed to effective and proportionate scrutiny of our trade negotiations and will ensure Parliament has the information it needs to scrutinise outcomes.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to update Parliament as our work on US trade develops.</p> more like this
