answer text <p>As an open economy, this Government welcomes and encourages investment where it supports the Prime Minister’s goal of boosting United Kingdom growth and jobs, meets our stringent legal and regulatory requirements, and does not compromise our national security. The Government has robust powers under the National Security &amp; Investment Act, which it introduced, to block or impose remedies on transactions that pose a national security risk.</p><p>We cannot comment on specific acquisitions nor the applicability of the National Security and Investment regime. It is the responsibility of Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to assess the impact on consumers and competition in the market, with input from sectoral regulators.</p><p>The Investment Security Unit works closely with the CMA on cases that are being considered for both national security and competition reasons. A memorandum of understanding has been agreed between the Investment Security Unit and the CMA to assist joint working.</p>

answer text <p>The National Health Service is building the capacity of NHS111 to give patients the help they need, including arranging clinical advice direct from healthcare professionals, making urgent appointments at a range of health services, or offering a timed slot at a local accident and emergency where appropriate.</p><p>NHS England has invested an additional £50 million in funding for NHS111 in 2022/23 to increase capacity and NHS111 call handling performance is also being improved through the implementation of regional call management, enabling better integration between providers, and ensuring total NHS 111 capacity is being used effectively.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The latest available data as of March 2022 shows that 1.40 million calls were answered by NHS 111, an average of 45,200 per day. Of these calls, 44.5% were answered in 60 seconds or less and the average time taken to answer calls was 396 seconds. Clinical advisors contributed to 51.5% of calls triaged.</p><p>The National Health Service continues to increase the capacity of NHS 111 through arranging clinical advice directly from healthcare professionals, making urgent appointments at a range of health services or offering a timed slot at a local accident and emergency department, where appropriate. We are also providing an additional £50 million in 2022/23 to support increased call-taking capacity.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>No such assessment has been made. NHS England and NHS Improvement advise that NHS 111 seeks to recommend the best service for patients needs. This is based on the assessment of the stated symptoms either by NHS Pathways or by a clinician. Wherever possible, recommendation to an emergency department is avoided if another suitable service is available, including referral to primary care settings.</p> more like this
