answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/10/2019 answer text <p>In law, the UK is set to leave the EU on 31 October 2019. “Get Ready for Brexit” is a public information campaign providing the facts citizens and businesses need to know about the preparations they need to take to be ready for when the UK leaves the EU.</p><p>The campaign is a cross-government campaign using national advertising including TV, radio, press, digital and outdoor advertising. It also includes direct engagement and local elements including business preparedness events, ministerial visits and local authority activity.</p><p>The cost of the public information campaign will be published monthly on a rolling basis, as part of routine government transparency.</p><p>For maximum economies of scale, media for all Government campaigns is bought centrally through a new Crown Commercial Service framework with Manning Gottlieb OMD. As part of the bidding process, non-departmental bodies bid through central departments.</p><p> </p><p>The final allocations for 2018/19 were announced at Spring Statement 2018, with just over £1.5bn allocated to departments and non-departmental public bodies. This includes coordination of other government departments’ planning and delivery work - where of course there are hundreds of officials working to deliver a successful Exit from the EU.</p><p> </p><p>In particular, the Policy &amp; Delivery Coordination directorate has been established to lead DExEU’s work to coordinate the domestic policy implications of exit across government departments. There are over 100 people working in PDC.</p><p> </p><p>However all staff in the Department are dedicated to planning, delivering or supporting the work on EU exit. We have established a series of arrangements to coordinate departments’ planning and delivery. <br><br></p><p>As indicated in the National Audit Office report, departments have identified exit work streams that are used to structure engagement with DExEU. The structure and development of workstreams is part of ongoing cross-government work to develop and assess potential policy options.
