answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/10/2024 answer text <p>We are working to increase the general practice (GP) workforce across England, including in Leicester. This includes measures to boost recruitment, address the reasons why doctors leave the profession, and encourage them to return to practice.</p><p>NHS England has allocated £1.9 million of emergency short-term funding this year for the recruitment of newly qualified GPs in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) has communicated the available funding for additional resource to each Primary Care Network, with guidance on how it can be most effectively used across the ICB area.</p><p>In order to offer wider opportunities beyond the standard recruitment platforms, the LLR ICB is also enabling its GPs to widen their candidate search by utilising the LLR Local Medical Committee’s recruitment channel. Initial proposals were discussed by Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group’s management and lay member group and GP Reference Group in April 2019. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/06/2019 answer text <p>Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is in the process of finalising the structure for the Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Leicester with general practitioner practices. PCNs are agreed for the majority of practices in the area. It is expected that confirmation for the remaining small number of practices not yet signed up will be given before the deadline of 30 June. As soon as the full structure is agreed, it will be communicated with the Leicester population and stakeholders.
