answer text <p>The Government was elected on a manifesto which made clear our plans to exit the EU, that the transition period will end on 31 December 2020, and that we will have recovered our economic and political independence.</p><p>Many millions of people welcome this outcome and will mark it in their own private ways. Union Jack flags also lined Parliament Square and the Mall on 31 January and the public saw government buildings in Whitehall lit up throughout the evening. answer text <p>Further to my answer of 18 January 2018, (https://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-question/Commons/2018-01-08/121510/) the Royal Mint will produce a coin to commemorate the UK leaving the European Union.</p><p>The Royal Mint has a long-established tradition of producing coins in order to commemorate historic moments, including the 2012 Olympics, the UK’s accession to the European Economic Community, and the centenary of the First World War.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Prime Minister has stated that the United Kingdom will cease to be a member of the European Union on 29 March 2019, at the conclusion of the Article 50 process. There are currently no plans for any ceremonial or official events to mark the formal exit of the UK from the EU, although the Cabinet Office and the Department for Exiting the European Union will keep this under review.</p> more like this
