So far £1.2bn has been made available to the Executive to support the response to Covid-19.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to support the Health Service in Northern Ireland in any way possible, such as the Government’s UK-wide drive to increase testing and PPE supply. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2020 answer text <p>Abortion services are now a matter for the Department of Health in Northern Ireland.</p><p>I am pleased that some service provision has commenced through existing sexual and reproductive health services in the Belfast, Northern and Western Trust areas. Information on these services is available through the Informing Choices NI helpline and the Central Booking Service.</p><p>I hope that longer-term services can be commissioned as soon as possible in the current circumstances, consistent with the Regulations we made.</p><p>The Abortion (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2020 which were laid in March have now been replaced with the Abortion (Northern Ireland) (No. 2) Regulations 2020 , which were laid in the House today. These regulations come into effect on 14th May and revoke the earlier regulations. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/05/2020 answer text <ul><li><p>The Department for Education funds English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) through the Adult Education Budget (AEB).</p></li><li><p>Individuals aged 19 and over, including refugees, those granted humanitarian protection and asylum seekers, can be fully funded or co-funded depending on their age, prior educational attainment, employment status, and provided they meet the residency criteria set out in the AEB Funding and Performance Management Rules.</p></li><li><p>Approximately half the AEB is devolved to six Mayoral Combined Authorities and the Greater London Authority, and they are responsible for commissioning and funding provision, including ESOL provision, for learners resident in their areas.</p></li><li><p>As well as access to mainstream services, additional funding is provided to Local Authorities (of £850 per adult refugee) for refugees resettled through the UK’s resettlement scheme. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/05/2020 answer text <p>Our guidance for early years providers details the package of support the government has put in place for workers and businesses which will benefit childcare settings, including:</p><ul><li>Confirmation that the government will continue to pay local authorities for free early years entitlement places for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds;</li><li>The Self-employment Income Support Scheme for those who are self-employed or members of a partnership and have lost income due to COVID-19. The scheme allows individuals to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for 3 months. This includes childminders, who may choose to look after the children of one household if they are not already looking after vulnerable children or those of critical workers. Our Smart Systems and Flexibility Plan sets out a suite of actions to facilitate the deployment of smart technologies in homes and businesses. Smart technologies drive decarbonisation, can help consumers save money, and improve the efficiency of our energy system – saving the UK an estimated £17-40bn by 2050.</p><p> </p><p>There were around 19.3 million smart meters installed in homes across Great Britain by the end of 2019, enabling households to track and manage their energy use and prepayment customers to top-up credit without leaving home.
