<p>The commissioning of services for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is a matter
for local clinical commissioning groups. General practitioner (GP) Practices are required
to keep adequate records of the attendance and treatment of all their patients.</p><p>
</p><p>Summary Care Records enable healthcare professionals working in different care
settings to access an electronic summary of key information from a patient’s GP record.
Currently, Summary Care Records are widely used across National Health Service urgent
and emergency care. However, the Summary Care Record may also be used in planned care
to provide up to date clinical information.</p>
