A Special Procedure Order is a form of delegated legislation to which special parliamentary
procedure applies. Part of this procedure gives those people or bodies who are especially
affected by the order, to petition against it to either House. If successful, such
petitions are heard by a Joint Committee, consisting of Members from both Houses.

Recognises the moral obligation of the Government and the country to the armed forces;
aims to prevent disadvantage to the armed forces and their families in access to social,
commercial and voluntary services, as well as according special treatment to those
who are injured and bereaved.
Nine non-departmental public bodies established for the purpose of development, primarily
economic, of England's Government Office regions between 1998 and 2010. The abolition
of the RDAs took place on 31 March 2012. Similar economic development would be undertaken
by local councils and local enterprise partnerships (LEPs).
