Government grants have been in place for over a decade to help reduce the up-front purchase price of electric vehicles. The Government is targeting its funding to where they have the most impact and to deliver the greatest value for money to the taxpayer. This includes grants for vans, trucks, taxis and wheelchair accessible vehicles, as well as significant investment in charging infrastructure. The Government keeps the support for ZEV transition under regular review.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/3991", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Jesse Norman"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Hereford and South Herefordshire"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Jesse Norman"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2023-06-12", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2023-06-12T10:02:14.557Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "27"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Transport"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Transport"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2023-06-07", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Electric Vehicles: Hire Services"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make an assessment of the potential merits of introducing a similar scheme to the electric vehicle social leasing scheme in France.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4124", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Chi Onwurah"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Newcastle upon Tyne Central"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Chi Onwurah"} ], "uin" : "188263"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1002065", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Department for Education"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1002065/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "

We have not assessed the team around the child approach, however some models of help and protection have been evaluated by the Children’s Social Care Innovation Programme (CSCIP), which found that the use of multi-disciplinary skill sets in supporting children and families was a key feature of successful projects. The evaluation of Project Crewe demonstrated early promise through their use of family practitioners to lead multi-agency support under the supervision of a social worker. This model is being tested further by Coventry City Council under the CSCIP round three.

Statutory guidance, ‘Working together to safeguard children 2018’: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/working-together-to-safeguard-children--2, makes clear that when it comes to early help, children and families may benefit from co-ordinated support from local agencies, and it is right that organisations work together to assess the need for support, and provide targeted services that improve the outcomes for children.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4113", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Nadhim Zahawi"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Stratford-on-Avon"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Nadhim Zahawi"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2018-11-12", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2018-11-12T11:39:40.223Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "60"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Education"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Education"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2018-11-05", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Children: Social Services"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what assessment he has made of (a) the effectiveness of the team around the child approach in children’s services provision and (b) whether that approach should be the default for children’s social care providers.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4664", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Karen Lee"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Lincoln"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Karen Lee"} ], "uin" : "188263"} ], "itemsPerPage" : 10, "page" : 0, "startIndex" : 1, "totalResults" : 2, "type" : ["http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#ListEndpoint", "http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#Page"]} }
