This funding has focused on reducing barriers to adoption, including offsetting their higher upfront cost and accelerating the rollout of chargepoint infrastructure.<\/p><p /><p>In Stockport 2,166 charging devices have been installed through the Department\u2019s Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme and 196 sockets through our Workplace Charging Scheme.<\/p><p /><p>Under the Department\u2019s On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS), grant funding is available to all UK local authorities to provide public chargepoints for residents without access to private parking. I encourage Stockport Council to make use of the scheme.<\/p>"}
