Integrated care boards (ICBs) are responsible for the commissioning of both full type one emergency departments and type three accident and emergency services, including those badged as Minor Injuries Units.<\/p><p>As set out in the Delivery Plan for Recovering Urgent and Emergency Care, ICBs should determine where type three services will be most effectively located. We expect that decisions about all existing services should be concluded through 2023/24.<\/p>"}
