The Home Office monitors the number of fee waiver applications for children registering for British citizenship. However, management information in this area is currently being collated, reviewed and assured, and we are therefore not in a position to share figures at this time. We are however considering the best mechanism for updating Parliament with this information when available and will do so at the earliest appropriate opportunity.<\/p>

The Government\u2019s £80m investment in accelerating smart ticketing builds on previous and existing franchise commitments, and sits alongside Government funding for Transport for the North\u2019s smart ticketing programme and the Rail Delivery Group\u2019s investment in barcode technology.<\/p>

Together, these programmes mean that the rail industry is on track to deliver a smart card or barcode option that passengers can choose to use for singles, returns and seasons on journeys across almost all of the rail network by the end of the year.<\/p>
