The Government\u2019s White Paper, \u201cThe UK\u2019s future skills-based immigration system\u201d (Cm 9722), published on 19 December 2018, provides a platform for further discussion. We have launched an extensive programme of targeted engagement across the UK, to capture views and ensure that we design a future system that works for every nation.<\/p>
There are three approaches to this engagement programme.The Government is engaging with specific sectors to communicate proposals and understand their priorities for a future system. We will hold cross-sector forums in the nine regions of England and all the nations of the UK to hear views from across the country.<\/p>
We are also creating advisory groups that will have detailed discussions with private, public and voluntary sector employers and industry representatives as the policy and system is developed<\/p>"}

If Green Cards are required from 29th<\/sup> March 2019, motorists should contact their vehicle insurer who will be able to provide them with advice on Green Card requirements and issue them with any relevant documentation. This still applies if an individual is in an EU country after exit day and does not hold a Green Card.<\/p> <\/p>
It should be noted that the UK will meet all the requirements for remaining part of the Green Card-free circulation zone on our exit from the EU and we continue to urge the European Commission to issue an implementing decision that would ensure UK motorists can drive in the EU without a Green Card and vice versa.<\/p>"}

Under the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement, United Kingdom nationals will be able to continue benefiting from existing European Union provisions, such as the European Health Insurance Card scheme, until the end of the Implementation Period at the end of December 2020. Should an applicant not be immediately eligible for settled status, and instead be granted pre-settled status (five years\u2019 limited leave to remain), they must continue to meet these continuous residence criteria in order to qualify for settled status. This will be made clear to them when they are granted pre-settled status.<\/p>
