Most sole traders who are registered for VAT are below the threshold and are therefore already exempt from MTD, though they can choose to join the new service. The decision announced in July 2017 to exempt businesses below the VAT registration threshold responded to feed back about the impact of MTD on the smallest businesses. There are currently no plans to increase the threshold for MTD for VAT.<\/p>

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is working to support small businesses that need help to transition to MTD and engage digitally.<\/p>"}

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has advised that the guideline on \u2018Motor Neurone Disease: assessment and management\u2019 is currently not scheduled for review. NICE has processes in place to periodically review its guidelines to ensure that they reflect the latest available evidence. Such reviews are normally carried out every five years. As the guideline was published in 2016, the latest the surveillance review would be undertaken will be 2020/21.<\/p>

If significant new evidence that is likely to affect the guideline\u2019s recommendations emerges before then, NICE is able to bring forward the surveillance review.<\/p>"}

The Government welcomes Heathrow's logistics hubs initiative, for which a number of sites in Northern Ireland have been longlisted as potential locations.<\/p>
<\/p>
The number of jobs created at any particular hub will be a question for Heathrow, subject to its ongoing procurement exercise. Heathrow plans to announce a shortlist of locations in the spring before selecting four final locations later this year.<\/p>
<\/p>
In the meantime, Hon Members may wish to engage directly with the promoters of the potential logistics hubs sites in Northern Ireland to explore their proposals further.<\/p>

Over 70 Credit Unions benefited from the Credit Union Expansion Project with products such as an Automated Lending and Decision System. These credit unions operated across England, Wales and Scotland. The Credit Union Expansion Project did not include credit unions in Northern Ireland as the aim of the project was to drive up membership of GB credit unions from a very low base. Across GB less than 1% of the population were members of a credit union at the outset of the project. The situation in Northern Ireland is different with over 26% of the population being members of credit unions. The Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion met with representatives of Northern Ireland credit unions on the 20 July 2018 in Belfast.<\/p>"}
