All Government Departments are bound by EU and UK requirements concerning right to work in the UK and, in addition, the Civil Service Nationality Rules. Documentary evidence of nationality is checked at the point of recruitment into the Civil Service as part of wider pre-employment checks.<\/p>

However DCMS does not hold this information centrally and staff declare their national identity voluntarily. Therefore this figure will not be a true representation of the workforce as a whole.<\/p>

A quantitative risk assessment was carried out in 2011, which assessed the risk of a pet animal with rabies entering the UK under the EU Pet Travel Scheme (PTS) as very low.
