Entrance to the national museums has been free since 2001 and visitor numbers have risen continually, including for families from all backgrounds. A number of the museums and galleries have developed specific programmes targeting young people including Youth Panels. Examples of initiatives specifically targeting young people include the TATE Galleries participation in Circuit, led by the National Youth Network for the Visual Arts, and The Imperial War Museum\u2019s project, New Perspectives: Lesser known histories of the first world war which challenges young people to take a new perspective on the First World War.<\/p>The major partner museums sponsored by Arts Council England are also seeking innovative and creative ways of engaging young people with their collections including: Norfolk Museums Creative Collisions Youth Arts Network and Exeter\u2019s The Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery\u2019s, Count Me In Programme. ACE also directly funds education provision through investment in major partner museums. <\/p> In addition, and to increase the number of young people accessing museums, the Museums and Schools Programme has been introduced to increase the number of schools visits to museums. Through Arts Council England, The Department for Education is providing funding of £3.6m, supporting 10 regional museum services in partnership with National Museums and schools in areas of high deprivation across England, where engagement between schools and culture has been low. So far 87,598 pupils have visited a regional museum as part of the museums and schools programme.<\/p> <\/p>"}

We support calls by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for the authorities to conduct an independent and thorough investigation into the incident. The 2014 Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) provides certainty and stability to all companies that decide to join it. Companies with less than £5 million in health service sales are exempted from having to make any PPRS payments. Local authorities, with the help of other organisations as appropriate, have a duty to make enquiries under section 47 of the Children Act 1989 if they have reasonable cause to suspect that a child is suffering, or is likely to suffer, significant harm. A belief that a girl may have been involved in an under-age marriage should lead to such an assessment.<\/p> Where a local authority encounters concerns about a child\u2019s welfare that constitute, or may constitute, an offence against a child, social workers should discuss the case with the police at the earliest opportunity. Offences may have been committed by the girl\u2019s parents, or by her \u2018husband\u2019. Legislation that came into force earlier in 2014 means that forced marriage is now a criminal offence.<\/p> Statutory guidance on multi-agency working to safeguard children from harm is contained in \u2018Working Together to Safeguard Children\u2019,[1] which the Government published in 2013 and updated in June 2014. Statutory guidance and multi-agency practice guidelines on forced marriage,[2] also updated in June 2014, provides information and advice for all relevant services, including schools, who are advised to make referrals to children\u2019s social care or the police if they have any concerns about a girl being affected by forced marriage.<\/p>
We regularly discuss the situation in Papua province with the Indonesian authorities, raise concerns about access for international journalists and non-governmental organisations and encourage a greater focus on resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue. Most recently the Charge d\u2019Affairs visited Papua province on 3-5 December.<\/p>"}
