Under the Covid-19 Temporary Framework for UK Authorities aid of up to €800,000 can be awarded to businesses affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

On 20 October, UK authorities submitted a notification to the European Commission to take advantage of a new measure under the European Commission’s Temporary Framework. This new measure would enable greater support to companies facing a decline in turnover during the eligible period of at least 30% compared to the same period of 2019, due to the pandemic. The support will contribute to a part of the beneficiaries' fixed costs that are not covered by their revenues, up to maximum amount of €3 million per business.

The European Commission is currently considering the notification and will provide a response in due course.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4414", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Paul Scully"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Sutton and Cheam"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Paul Scully"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2020-11-16", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2020-11-16T17:33:48.38Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "201"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2020-11-11", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Business: Coronavirus"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, if he will increase the maximum permitted state aid limit of support that a business can receive under the Covid-19 Temporary Framework for UK Authorities.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4787", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for James Wild"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "North West Norfolk"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "James Wild"} ], "uin" : "114341"} ], "itemsPerPage" : 10, "next" : "https://eldaddp.azurewebsites.net/answeredquestions.text?_page=1&max-AnswerDate=2021-06-21&max-ddpCreated=2022-03-15T13%3A29%3A56.150Z&tablingMemberConstituency=North+West+Norfolk®isteredInterest=false&writtenParliamentaryQuestionType=NamedDay", "page" : 0, "startIndex" : 1, "totalResults" : 76, "type" : ["http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#ListEndpoint", "http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#Page"]} }
