The core schools budget has been protected in real terms since 2010 and is set to rise from £41 billion in 2017-18 to over £42 billion in 2019-20 with increasing pupil numbers. The Government has committed to increase the school budget further.

We will continue to work to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to attend a good school and that all schools are fairly funded. We are considering the more than 25,000 responses we received to the National Funding Formula consultation, and will publish our response in due course.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/111", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Nick Gibb"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Bognor Regis and Littlehampton"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Nick Gibb"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2017-06-29", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "groupedQuestionUIN" : [{"_value" : "478"} , {"_value" : "479"} ], "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2017-06-29T16:08:08.153Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "60"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Education"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Education"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2017-06-21", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Schools: Finance"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what her policy is on introducing a new national funding formula for schools.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4356", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Angela Rayner"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Ashton-under-Lyne"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Angela Rayner"} ], "uin" : "477"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/347430", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Department for International Development"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/347430/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "

DFID primarily supports immunisation programmes in developing countries through the provision of funding to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

The UK is the largest donor to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Gavi is a public-private partnership that saves lives by increasing access to immunisation in developing countries. Since 2000, Gavi has vaccinated half a billion children and saved 7 million lives. The UK will provide a total of £1.44 billion to Gavi over 2016-2020. It is estimated that UK support will save a child’s life every 2 minutes.

The UK is also a key donor to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which is working to eradicate polio by 2019. Since GPEI’s creation, global polio cases have fallen by more than 99%. Africa has now been polio free for nearly 1 year. The UK has committed £300 million to polio eradication over 2013-2019.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/1582", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Grant Shapps"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Welwyn Hatfield"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Grant Shapps"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2015-06-05", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2015-06-05T12:14:09.06Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "20"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "International Development"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "International Development"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2015-05-29", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Developing Countries: Vaccination"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what steps her Department is taking to support immunisation programmes in developing countries.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4109", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Jeremy Lefroy"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Stafford"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Jeremy Lefroy"} ], "uin" : "477"} ], "itemsPerPage" : 10, "page" : 0, "startIndex" : 1, "totalResults" : 2, "type" : ["http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#ListEndpoint", "http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#Page"]} }
