In February, the department announced £200 million funding alongside the \u2018Stable Homes, Built on Love\u2019 strategy, which is being used to address urgent issues over this Spending Review period and set the path for longer-term reform. As these plans have been implemented, there have been a number of changes to the balance of funding across reform programme areas including increases to the fostering pathfinder. Contracts for delivery of Education, Training & Employment, Accommodation, Personal Wellbeing, and Women\u2019s services have been awarded in Wales and in 10 out of 11 probation regions through four waves of procurement activity over the last 9 months.<\/p>
This initial range of services has been commissioned nationally. After probation services are unified on 26 June 2021, commissioning responsibility will move to a regional level and Regional Probation Directors will decide how and when they wish to commission Dependency & Recovery and Finance, Benefit & Debt services.<\/p>
