The Review is progressing well, with stakeholder evidence sessions taking place focused on the key themes of the Review. This has included evidence sessions with players from the Women\u2019s Super League and Championship, as well as a session with retired players. These sessions focused on the key challenges and issues affecting a female professional footballer\u2019s career, including wellbeing and safeguarding.<\/p>

Training on mental-ill health is integrated throughout the initial police learning programme which all new recruits - police constables, specials constables and PCSOs - must complete. Many individual forces have also gone on to develop their own training programmes, including joint training with partner agencies and local Mental Health trusts.<\/p>
In October 2016, the College published Authorised Professional Practice on mental health, and this guidance supports all police officers, including custody staff, in responding to people suffering with mental health issues. There is a requirement under HM Treasury\u2019s New Fair Deal policy for staff who are compulsorily transferred from the National Health Service to a wholly owned subsidiary to be allowed continuing access to the NHS Pension Scheme. Whether or not to apply for access in relation to new starters is a matter for the wholly owned subsidiary company and its parent foundation trust.
