The Minister for Veterans' Affairs and the Office for Veterans' Affairs engage with the Five Eyes international partners to share best practices on research and policy delivery. This engagement covers a wide range of issues relating to veterans, including mental health. In addition, officials from the Nigerian Government visited the United Kingdom in January 2024 to learn from the UK\u2019s offer to the veteran community, which included health service provision.<\/p>
Op COURAGE is a bespoke mental health service for veterans and is commissioned by NHS England. NHS England has engaged with partners in the United States and has undertaken global literature research to identify the best practices and use evidence-based learning to develop this service. In 2023, NHS England met with the Australian High Commission to share learnings from Op COURAGE to inform and promote the best practices for veterans\u2019 mental health in Australia.<\/p>

Cabinet Office is leading and coordinating the programme of work being undertaken by Secretaries of State across government, to identify and deliver the regulatory and economic opportunities that Brexit has provided. No staff within the Brexit Opportunities Unit in the Cabinet Office monitor how the EU chooses to diverge from the UK.<\/p>
The Government monitors significant EU policy developments that are likely to affect UK interests, to ensure compliance with the Trade and Cooperation Agreement and support business readiness as necessary. My officials and I undertake regular engagement with the Devolved Administrations on the opportunities arising from leaving the EU, using Common Frameworks and other existing intergovernmental structures.<\/p>

Stage one applications receive feedback following discussion by the programme\u2019s committee. All applications, whether shortlisted for stage two submission, invited for resubmission at stage one or rejected from the programme, receive feedback. At stage two, comments from external peer reviewers are given to applicants, who are asked to submit their responses. The applications are then reviewed by the Funding Committee. Applicants receive feedback from the Committee if they are rejected.<\/p>
