Services at war memorials and local cenotaphs can take place providing all reasonable measures have been taken to limit the spread of the virus.<\/p>

Services should be adapted to take account of social distancing guidelines, and event organisers should keep numbers of those attending and participating to a minimum.<\/p>

Communal services of remembrance inside places of worship are not possible due to the new national restrictions that came into force on 5 November.<\/p>

Should local authorities or other organisations wish to hold Remembrance Sunday events they should consult the relevant public health guidance on holding events during the pandemic and ensure appropriate licences are secured and that COVID-19 risk assessments are completed to ensure the risk of transmission is minimised.<\/p>

The Government has published guidance for the safe use of Places of Worship, and for special religious services and gatherings during the pandemic.
