The Department has funded rapid charge point roll-out through a competitive bidding approach via Local Authorities, through the OLEV National Infrastructure Grant Schemes, and Go Ultra Low Cities scheme (ongoing), which have provided funding to projects to support rapids. The Welsh Government is also providing £2 million to help secure a network of charging points throughout Wales in order to support the uptake of electric vehicles. The funding will be released in 2018/19 and 2019/20. The Welsh Government is currently scoping the priorities for deploying the money and delivery options, and will be engaging with a range of stakeholders as part of the process. A key priority will be the installation of a network of points along/near the trunk road network in Wales for longer, through journeys to help alleviate range anxiety and therefore increase electric vehicle uptake.<\/p>"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/3991", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Jesse Norman"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Hereford and South Herefordshire"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Jesse Norman"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2017-11-28", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2017-11-28T10:36:38.693Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "27"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Transport"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Transport"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2017-11-20", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Electric Vehicles: Wales"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "What assessment he has made of the adequacy of rapid charging point provision on the strategic road network in Wales.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/1566", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Daniel Kawczynski"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Shrewsbury and Atcham"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Daniel Kawczynski"} ], "uin" : "114678"} ], "itemsPerPage" : 10, "page" : 0, "startIndex" : 1, "totalResults" : 1, "type" : ["http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#ListEndpoint", "http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#Page"]} }
