There were more than 3000 responses to the call for evidence which are still being considered. Many dedicated families are doing a very good job educating their children at home, taking on heavy responsibilities in doing so.<\/p>
We are concerned, however, that overall numbers of children said to be being educated at home are rising, the reasons for which are complex. We need to help local authorities deal effectively with children who are not in school. By 2020 this government will be spending £6 billion on supporting families with childcare. All 3 and 4 year olds, and the most disadvantaged 2 year olds, can access 15 hours a week of early education. From September 2017, this government doubled the childcare entitlement for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds to 30 hours a week.<\/p>

We recognise that parents\u2019 working patterns vary significantly and want to ensure that the free entitlements deliver childcare to meet their needs, as well as being high quality early education to support the development needs of children. We are also encouraging partnerships between providers to support flexible provision.<\/p>
<\/p>
In particular, we want 30 hours to continue to build on the flexible provision that we were already seeing across the country with the universal 15 hours. Investigating authorities have access to a broad range of investigative tools and financial intelligence which can be easily shared between relevant agencies. Since 2015, investigators may also share and obtain information from other Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) and financial institutions through the Joint Money Laundering Intelligence Task Force, a public-private collaboration.<\/p>
The UK\u2019s capacity for undertaking terrorist financing investigations was extended by the Criminal Finances Act 2017 which now permits the financial investigation powers in the Terrorism Act 2000 to be exercised by civilian accredited financial investigators employed by LEAs and allows for these orders to be recognised across different UK jurisdictions.<\/p>

The sharing of information on suspicions of money laundering and terrorist financing within a group is permitted under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.<\/p>
In the Criminal Finances Act 2017 the Government introduced provisions that will allow certain regulated sector entities to share information between themselves, and with the NCA, where there is a suspicion of money laundering and terrorist financing. Enabling firm-to-firm information sharing through a legal gateway encourages the reporting sector to share information to detect and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.<\/p>"}

These reports rightly question the lack of transparency in China\u2019s organ transplant system, whilst acknowledging that it is very difficult to identify the source of those organs and verify the number of organ transplants conducted in China.<\/p> However, as the Minister for Europe and the Americas said in a Westminster Hall debate in October 2016: \u201cAlthough I do not doubt the need to maintain close scrutiny of organ transplant practices in China, we believe that the evidence base is not sufficiently strong to substantiate claims about the systematic harvesting of organs from minority groups. Counter-terrorism policing, the National Crime Agency and the National Police Chiefs\u2019 Council are implementing a counter-terrorism and serious and organ-ised crime collaboration strategy.
