Domestic abuse is unacceptable in any situation. We are working closely with domestic abuse charities, the Domestic Abuse Commissioner and the police to understand the impact of COVID-19 on domestic abuse incidents.<\/p>

The Government has announced £28m of funding to support domestic abuse charities. The Home Office has announced an additional £2 million in funding to help bolster specialist helplines and online services so that victims can continue to seek support.<\/p>
<\/p>
We have also launched a campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse and signpost victims to the support services available. The campaign, under the hashtag #YouAreNotAlone, aims to reassure those affected by domestic abuse that support services remain available during this difficult time. Under the Traffic Management Act 2004, each local highway authority has a "Network Management Duty" to manage its roads effectively to keep traffic moving. The National Crime Agency, the lead on tackling the online threat of child sexual abuse, has already disseminated over 1,000 cases to policing and continues to prioritise safeguarding children during these difficult times.<\/p> <\/p>
