Dementia remains a key priority for the Government. We will implement the Prime Minister\u2019s Challenge on Dementia 2020 (published in February 2015) in full to make sure the lives of those with dementia are transformed by 2020.<\/p>

Following the recent cervical screening incident, announced on 15 November 2018, NHS England has set up a multi-agency clinical panel to manage the incident. Capita has put in place daily audits to ensure all women\u2019s files are accounted for and are looking at how automated processes can be used to reduce errors. There is no evidence to suggest there has been any negative impact on the number of applications made to come to the United Kingdom as a result of the surcharge.<\/p>

The Government is making an additional £1.4 billion available for children\u2019s mental health service transformation. Clinical commissioning group spend on children\u2019s mental health has increased by 35% since 2015/16 and we are on target to see an additional 70,000 children annually in specialist NHS health services by 2020/21.<\/p>
<\/p>
We published \u2018Transforming Children and Young People\u2019s Mental Health Provision: a Green Paper\u2019 in December last year. This set out ambitious proposals to fill the gap in support for children and young people\u2019s mental health. We are:<\/p>
- Incentivising and supporting all schools and colleges to identify and train a Designated Senior Lead for Mental Health - funding new training to help leads put in place whole school approaches to mental health;<\/p>
- Introducing new Mental Health Support Teams working in or near schools and colleges to provide earlier access to a wider range of support and treatments; and<\/p>
- Piloting a new four week waiting time for NHS children and young people\u2019s mental health services so that specialist help is available sooner.<\/p>

<\/p>
We will pilot our proposals through our trailblazer sites, which will be announced soon. I will be meeting with Sean Fletcher, on behalf of the Secretary of State, to discuss children and young people\u2019s mental health.<\/p>
