The roulette-style products launched on 1 April by two high-street bookmakers were withdrawn the following day after a warning from the Gambling Commission. The Commission is continuing to investigate the circumstances and the operators could still face regulatory action. The Commission may also investigate key senior staff at bookmakers who are responsible for bringing those products to market.<\/p>

The Government and the Gambling Commission expect industry to comply with both the spirit and the letter of the new regulations to ensure that consumers continue to be protected from harm.<\/p>

Sport England have invested £9 million in the England and Wales Cricket Board for the period 2017/21. A proportion of this investment will be used to drive the participation of girls\u2019 cricket, for example developing flexible cricket formats to strengthen the pathway from absolute beginner through to performance level, and investing in coaching, officiating and sports science & medicine.<\/p>

As part of the Civil Society Strategy, the Government committed to working with the National Lottery Community Fund to allocate £90 million from dormant bank accounts to a new, independent organisation to support young people furthest away from the labour market. Last week, the Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) launched and announced its Founding Chair, Joe Montgomery.<\/p>

Protecting UK businesses from cyber attacks is a key priority within the Government\u2019s National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021.<\/p>

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) works with a wide range of partners to provide advice and support to businesses and organisations across the UK, enabling them to put measures in place to protect against cyber attacks. Up to date guidance - such as the Small Business Guide for SMEs - is freely available on NCSC\u2019s website and is underpinned by NCSC\u2019s insights into cyber threats. The NCSC has also published its Board Toolkit to help company boards better understand cyber security.<\/p>

Government continues to engage with businesses of all types and through multiple channels to raise awareness of cyber security best practice.
