I updated the House on Monday 19th November regarding Johnston Press. Johnston Press had a number of creditors including Golden Tree Asset Management, Fidelity, Caravel Asset Management, and Benefits Street Partners. As I set out on 19 November, a consortium of creditors formed JPI Media to take over the assets of Johnston Press. DCMS has been in contact with a number of stakeholders in relation to the takeover Tech Nation's (formerly Tech City UK) current executive team is now 75% women, and the \u201cheads of\u201d roles are 66% women.<\/p> <\/p> Meanwhile, Government is addressing gender diversity in industry by supporting the Tech Talent Charter. The Charter is a private sector initiative designed to promote diversity in the tech workforce. Signatories of the Charter pledge to implement recruitment and retention practices that will address the gender imbalance of those in tech roles.<\/p> <\/p> <\/p> Over 290 companies, from international tech giants right through to start-ups, SME\u2019s and charities have already signed the Charter, and all government departments have agreed to sign the Charter.<\/p>"}

The review will bolster the Government\u2019s work to make it easier for women to access the support they need to get their ideas off the ground and grow their businesses.
