It aims to ensure that a typical customer using heating oil will not face a higher rate of growth from October 2022 than those using mains gas (who are supported by the Energy Price Guarantee).<\/p>

The payment is intended to ensure the typical household using heating oil does not experience an increase on September 2021 prices of more than 130%, in line with the guarantee offered through the EPG. The calculation considers characteristics of the NI market including heating oil demand for a typical NI home, NI heating oil price, and typical NI heating oil bill.<\/p>"}
