As such it isn\u2019t possible to accurately estimate the proportion of those in receipt of Housing Benefit in the social sector that will be affected by this policy, as it relies on the choice of those taking out new tenancies.<\/p> The Discretionary Housing Payment scheme will be available to Local Authorities to protect the vulnerable.<\/p> DWP operates the standard Civil Service whistleblowing policy, but the Department\u2019s procedures go further by also enabling staff to raise concerns via a dedicated hotline operated by an Internal Investigations team.<\/p> DWP is committed to ensuring high standards of conduct in all that it does.
