Subject to the Climate Compatibility Checkpoint, The North Sea Transition Authority will be launching a new licensing round for North Sea oil and gas shortly, which is expected to lead to over 100 new licences being awarded.<\/ins><\/p><p><ins class=\"ministerial\"> <\/ins><\/p><p><ins class=\"ministerial\">The Government will also end the pause on shale gas extraction.
