To support them to do this the Department issues best practice guidance which can be found here: <a href=\"https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-uniform\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-uniform<\/a>.<\/p><p>This makes clear that we expect schools to ensure uniform costs are reasonable. Our guidance clearly states that uniform items should be easily available for parents to purchase and schools should keep compulsory branded items to a minimum. It also states that schools should avoid single-supplier contracts but where schools do choose to enter into such contracts, they should be subject to a regular competitive tendering process.<\/p><p>No school uniform should be so expensive as to leave pupils or their families feeling unable to apply to a school and this Government has announced its plan to put the current guidance on a statutory footing at the earliest opportunity.<\/p>"}

Official reporting is on a calendar year basis. The measures are similar but not the same and are not directly comparable. \u2018Waste from households\u2019 is slightly narrower in the scope of waste it includes than \u2018household waste\u2019, and counts different materials towards recycling.       ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1171295/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "<p>The Government\u2019s Green Paper on children and young people\u2019s mental health aims to improve the provision of mental health support through its key proposals, which includes creating new Mental Health Support Teams in and near schools and colleges.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>The Mental Health Support Teams form part of the commitment in the NHS Long Term Plan to ensure that by 2023/24, at least an additional 345,000 children and young people aged 0-25 will be able to access support via National Health Service-funded mental health services and school\u2013 or college-based mental health support teams.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>We have also committed at least a further £2.3 billion a year to mental health services by 2023/24. This will see spending for children and young people\u2019s mental health services growing faster than the overall spend on mental health, which will itself be growing faster than the overall NHS budget.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>The Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group is forecast to spend £4.2 million on children and adolescent mental health services in 2019/2020, including £470,000 additional investment as part of its commitment to achieve the Mental Health Investment Standard.<\/p><p> <\/p><p> <\/p><p> <\/p>"}
