Highways England are building projects in ways designed to minimise environmental impacts now and leave a positive legacy for the future. Individual road scheme budgets are set so that schemes can mitigate their impact on biodiversity, and seek opportunities for enhancement, while achieving value for money.<\/p>
The Road Investment Strategy also includes a ring-fenced environment fund of £300 million between 2015 to 2020, which includes funds for biodiversity.<\/p>

There will be more seats for South Wales passengers by virtue of longer trains and (more frequent services to Bristol and Cheltenham thereby releasing space on London to Cardiff and Swansea services.<\/p> <\/p> Passengers will benefit sooner and experience less disruption compared with putting up intrusive wires and masts along routes where they are no longer required.<\/p>"}

It also clashes with the location of the permanent Princes Quay Bridge.<\/p> <\/p> In the short term we will work closely with Hull County Council, to increase awareness of the alternative Humber Dock Street pedestrian crossing by providing additional signage and information.<\/p> <\/p> In the medium term Highways England are investigating whether construction of the Princes Quay Bridge could begin in advance of the main A63 Castle Street improvement scheme works currently programmed for Spring 2020. In order to deliver this element early, Highways England would need the support of key stakeholders including Hull County Council in securing the land to construct the bridge and co-ordinating traffic management.<\/p> <\/p>"}
