The Health and Safety Executive is not currently undertaking any research to better understand the effect of polluted air on the health of outdoor workers.

Defra and the Devolved Administrations carry out air quality modelling both to provide information on concentrations of pollutants in places where they do not monitor and to predict concentrations under different situations, for example in the future or as a result of possible new policies.

The UK Stratospheric Ozone and UV monitoring programme funded by Defra and the Devolved Administrations provides ozone and UV background information and includes a map of the ozone and UV monitoring stations across the UK.

Defra and the Devolved Administrations also support a number of research networks that gather data about certain air pollutants.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4071", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Sarah Newton"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Truro and Falmouth"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Sarah Newton"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2019-01-31", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2019-01-31T15:12:14.327Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "29"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Work and Pensions"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Work and Pensions"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2019-01-23", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Industrial Health and Safety"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what research the Health and Safety Executive is undertaking to better understand the effect of polluted air on the health of outdoor workers.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/1516", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Andy Slaughter"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Hammersmith"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Andy Slaughter"} ], "uin" : "211692"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/943939", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Department for Work and Pensions"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/943939/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "
