The Online Harms White Paper will set out a range of legislative and non-legislative measures to tackle a range of online harms. The Government takes both the protection of personal data and the right to privacy extremely seriously.<\/p>

The Data Protection Act 2018 makes our data protection laws fit for the digital age and empowers people to take control of their data. The Government has recently published a Code of Practice for Consumer Internet of Things Security, which outlines thirteen guidelines that manufacturers should follow to keep consumers safe.
