It promotes the breadth, quality and innovation of the UK’s food and drink production and champions our unique culinary offer to help shift perceptions and support exports.</p><p> </p><p>Meat and dairy continue to be central to the GREAT campaign’s food and drink promotion in international markets. The campaign works with meat and dairy producers across the UK and will continue to ensure that the best of UK food and drink features prominently in international promotion, working closely with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board. The Government continues to invest in building UK export capability, including the expansion of the agri-food and drink attaché network and formation of the Export Council. We have also invested in promoting growth and opportunities in Northern Ireland, including through £500m of funding for the PEACE Plus programme over seven years and through our £400m New Deal for Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>However, we recognise the significant impact that the Protocol has had on businesses in Northern Ireland, despite the extraordinary efforts they have made to adapt to new requirements. Indeed it is hard to see that the way the Protocol is currently operating can be sustainable for long. That is why we are committed to working urgently and in good faith, through the structures of the Withdrawal Agreement, to find pragmatic ways forward on the issues that have been identified. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/10/2019 answer text <p>We continue to resettle refugees affected by the Syria conflict who have been deemed the most vulnerable by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and where resettlement has been deemed as the only durable solution for their circumstances. Over 17,000 refugees have found sanctuary in the UK through the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) and are rebuilding their lives here.</p><p>Once we have delivered our current commitments under the VPRS, Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme and Gateway Protection Programme, we will consolidate these schemes into a new global resettlement scheme to start in 2020. That is why, during the previous Parliament, the Home Secretary made forced marriage a criminal offence, which included taking extra-territorial jurisdiction for forced marriage offences.</p><p>We recognise that strengthening the law is only part of the solution. The Government’s Forced Marriage Unit is leading efforts to combat this unacceptable activity both at home and abroad. Measures include providing support and advice to professionals and victims through a public helpline, with the Unit assisting in 1,267 cases in 2014. However, if a parent knowingly and deliberately takes their child on holiday during term time (without a leave of absence granted by the school) they could face a term of imprisonment for doing so if they are prosecuted under the substantive offence set out in section 444(1A) of the Education Act 1996 (the Act).
