star this property answer text <p>Under the terms of HMRC’s Private Finance Initiative contract, the Department has the flexibility to extend the lease on Cumbernauld, Accounts Office, beyond April 2021 for any period which suits its plans up to a maximum of 20 years.</p><p> </p><p>In line with its location strategy, HMRC plans to seek an extension to the lease to allow it to remain in the property until the Glasgow Regional centre opens.</p> more like this

They will provide stable, high quality jobs and offer a wide range of opportunities for training and promotion and allow its staff to follow more varied career paths than have previously been possible.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC will help all its staff work through their options. star this property answer text <p>HM Revenue and Customs’ (HMRC) transformation programme will deliver 13 large regional centres, four specialist sites, one London-based headquarters and five transitional locations across the country, replacing 170 smaller offices. The planning for this major programme is undertaken at national level and HMRC’s decision making has been driven by its duty to deliver the best value for money for the taxpayer. Its location plans are expected to generate savings of tens of millions of pounds every year from 2025.</p><p>The HMRC office in Cumbernauld is scheduled to close in 2019-20. HMRC believes that the majority of staff are within reasonable daily travel of Glasgow and will move with their work.</p> more like this
