star this property answer text <p><del class="ministerial">The Home Secretary is clear that standards in the Metropolitan Police Service and London Fire Brigade must improve.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire &amp; Rescue Services has found that both organisations are under-performing and placed them into the ‘engage’ process to ensure targeted support.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The Mayor of London is responsible for setting priorities and holding Commissioners to account.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">This Government takes the issue of fraud very seriously and is dedicated to protecting the public from this devastating crime. </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">We are working to improve the victim support system to ensure everyone receives the support and advice they need to feel safe again and to prevent revictimisation. </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">Raising awareness and safeguarding victims will form a key pillar of the Government’s forthcoming fraud strategy.  </ins></p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>The National Bus Strategy announced £3 billion of transformational and long-term funding for buses.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Government currently provides up to £27 million a week to support bus services through the COVID-19 Bus Services Support Grant scheme and the ongoing Bus Service Operator Grant which is worth approximately £260 million each year. The Government also supports council spending of around £1 billion a year on concessionary travel.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>A comprehensive independent review of the Loan Charge has already taken place. In September 2019, the Government commissioned Lord Morse to lead this Review. There are no plans for a further review of the Loan Charge.</p><p>Lord Morse’s report was published in December 2019 and concluded that it was right for the Government to collect the tax due, but also recommended changes to how the Loan Charge works.</p><p>The Government accepted all but one of the Review’s 20 recommendations, which is estimated to benefit over 30,000 individuals, removing 11,000 from the Loan Charge entirely.</p><p>These changes have improved how the Loan Charge operates, which ensures that individuals pay the right amount of tax and ensures fairness for all taxpayers and the wider public.</p> more like this
